Happy weekend everyone! I’m working a full day in the office today and then right after Dan and I are going to a Mets/Phillies game. We haven’t been to a baseball game at all this summer (we usually try and make it to a few) and I’m looking forward to it. It should be a really nice night and I can’t wait to pig out on hotdogs, funnel cake, and crab fries! I have my cousin’s bridal shower on Saturday, followed by an evening of meatball-making! My uncle makes the best meatballs, so I’m pretty excited about that. Read More
I wore this outfit recently when we had a BBQ for my sister’s birthday, which was July 24th, not July 4th, which would have been more appropriate. I actually bought this shirt and shorts from the Gap Factory outlet right after Fourth of July. These shorts were on sale for $6.99. Yes, you read that right. $6.99! I bought them in red, one light denim, and one dark denim. They were originally $44.99 – such a steal! Read More
If you know me then you know about my obsession with mermaids. I have countless necklaces, bracelets, mugs, blankets, etc all having to do with mermaids. For my birthday or Christmas I usually receive at least one mermaid item. With all of the mermaid accessories I’ve accumulated over the years, I thought it would be fun to share some of the mermaid items I’ve found/have. I have this Alex and Ani bracelet in both gold and silver (no shame), and I’m obsessed with this makeup bag!
Happy Friday! I can’t believe we’ve already hit August. This year is just flying by! My goals for this month are to check some stuff off of my wedding list, hit the beach as often as possible, and just soak in what’s left of summer. No major plans this weekend, hopefully a beach day on Sunday! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! Read More
I have a google doc where I keep a list of places I want to travel. I have it categorized by weekend trips, longer U.S. trips, and overseas trips sorted by continent. Needless to say there are a lot of places I want to go, and I feel like I’ll never have the time to get to all of them, but when August creeped up out of nowhere I realized that I barely used any vacation days (I have 11 left!), I decided to pull out my list and see where I could go. Since I’m getting married, an overseas trip was out of the question because I need to save my money. I decided to look at my weekend trips and settled on Newport and Mystic. I’ve lived on the east coast my entire life and have never been to Newport. It’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, but I’ve just never made it there. I’ve also wanted to explore Mystic, CT so we decided to add that as a day trip on our way back. Read More
