For as much as I workout, I don’t have a ton of athletic wear. My normal gym uniform consists of an old t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and sneakers. I’ve been trying to build up my workout wardrobe (especially winter wardrobe), but everything is so expensive. Even the outlets (which I love) are expensive. Read More
Annnd, weekend! Hope everyone had a good week. This week started out frigid and then warmed up (it hit 60 on Thursday!) and now it’s cooling back down. I had a pretty standard besides having an extra great day at work on Wednesday! I’m excited to keep the momentum going into the weekend. I don’t have any plans set in stone yet (besides reffing which is a Saturday staple for me during January and February), but I’m hoping to make it out to the movies to see La La Land. Have a great weekend!
One // Europe 2017. I have zero vacations planned this year which makes me excited and anxious at the same time. There are so many places I want to go that I get overwhelmed just thinking about planning a trip. This article listed some places on my list (I’m looking at you Iceland) that are the best places to visit in Europe in 2017. Hopefully I’ll make a decision soon!
Two // Hope you are well. I cringed a little when I saw the title of this article because I literally start every work email with “Hope you are well.” Since then, I’ve been making a conscious effort to make sure I just get to the point in my emails and leave out all of the fluff.
Three // Instagram bots. I loooved this article that Grace wrote last week about Instagram bots/spam. I had read about it previously so it wasn’t totally shocking but the discussion that she created was truly fascinating and it’s worth a read.
Four // Marriage is a team sport. I’ve been reading Julia’s blog for a few years now and I have to say that this is probably one of the best posts I have read. Her sports/relationship analogy is spot on, relatable and just all around well-written. Whether you are married, engaged, in a relationship or single, you need to read this blog post.
Five // Winter Guide to Paris. First, if you’ve never been to Paris you must go at some point in your life. The city is truly magical and you will not be disappointed (I’ve been lucky enough to go twice). Julia wrote a guide to winter in Paris with places to stay, things to do, where to eat, etc. Even if you can’t go to Paris anytime soon, her pictures in this post will transport you there.
Can one ever own enough sweaters? I think not, especially when you have to go through long Northeast winters. Over the New Years weekend, I went to the Poconos with my college roommates. The majority of us aren’t ones to go out and spend time in the snow, so we opted to go shopping at the outlets instead. There were great sales going on (the outlets are the best place to shop) and we definitely took advantage. I got this sweater at The Gap, plus another sweater, and the comfiest lounge pants all for under $50. I’ve been looking for a sweater like this for a long time so I know it will be on repeat for the rest of the winter months. Read More
I touched on this in my 2017 goals post, but wanted to go a little more in depth here. I’ve always loved beauty/skin/hair products and my obsession became even stronger when I started breaking out when I was 18. Ever since then I have become obsessed with testing the latest and greatest beauty products to make my skin better. I made so much progress with my skin in 2016. I started going to the dermatologist every three months, got “acne surgery” (not really surgery – more like a quick facial with extractions) and incorporated new products into my routine that have helped transform my skin. My skin is still far from perfect, but I want to carry the momentum from 2016 into 2017 so I’m hoping to stick to these 5 resolutions to make 2017 my prettiest year yet! Read More
One week of 2017 is already in the books my friends. Did this week not feel like the longest ever? Not going to lie, it was a struggle getting back into a routine this past week, especially with this cold I’ve been battling since Sunday. Basketball season is here which means I will be spending the majority of my Saturday officiating 3 and 4th graders. On Sunday I’m having breakfast with my aunt and cousin and will be watching the Giants game in the afternoon! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Read More
