It’s been a long time since I posted a Friday Five, but it’s back! October is going to be an extremely fun but hectic month for me. Last weekend I stayed at my sister’s place in Manhattan because we went to see Ed Sheeran Sunday night! I had seen him once before when he opened for Taylor Swift during her Red tour, so I was extremely excited to see him as the headliner. The concert was amazing! So amazing, in fact, that we’re going to try and get tickets for when he comes to MetLife Stadium next September! We’re going to try for floor seats this time (he’s worth it!). Read More
Summer will always be my favorite season, but fall comes in at a very close second. Part of the reason why is the clothes. Cozy knits, chunky sweaters, comfy leggings – it doesn’t get any better than fall fashion. Of course, I’ve yet to transition my wardrobe from summer to fall (because it’s been in the high 80’s most of September), but I’ve started to do some fall shopping in anticipation for the cooler weather that’s to come. A lot of fall clothing is timeless and is always in style year after year, so I thought I would do a post on my fall wardrobe staples. I don’t think anything on this list is groundbreaking, but I’ve added a few trendier pieces to my closet (like this suede moto jacket) that I can’t wait to wear when the weather cools down.
I’m kicking off my new “Wedding Wednesday” series by sharing the story of how it all began! As my freshman year of college was coming to a close I was looking for a summer job. It seemed like I had one secured at a place that my friend worked, but the job ended up falling through a few days before I was scheduled to come home. Another friend of mine was working at the Under Armour outlet and suggested that I apply since they were still looking for people to work for the summer. I got the job and this where my love story with Dan begins.
I still remember the first time I worked with Dan. He was extremely friendly (and chatty) and his high school friend came in with his little cousin on his shoulders and Dan introduced me to him. I, of course, ended up getting in trouble for talking while Dan just kept chatting with his friend (I was very annoyed that I got yelled at and he did not haha). It wasn’t love at first sight or anything like that. He was just another kid that I worked with. Read More
September is here and I’m ready for fall. This summer was so crazy busy and I’m hoping to slow down a bit this month. This is the last summer look I’ll be posting since fall is almost here! I haven’t even thought about shopping for fall clothes yet since I still feel like I’m in May, but I plan on unpacking my fall/winter clothes to see what I have before I go on a shopping spree. I talked about Sally’s Baking Addiction last year when I made her blueberry pie recipe, so it’s no surprise that when I decided to make a blueberry peach pie I went straight to her website. Peach season is one of my absolute favorites. I rarely eat peaches any other time of the year because they just aren’t that great when they come from the grocery store. So much better right from the tree! Believe it or not I’m actually not the biggest fan of peach pie, but throw some blueberries into the mix and I’m sold! I think that peaches are just so sweet and some blueberries can be tart, so that combination balances it out for me. If you haven’t checked out Sally’s site, make sure you do! You won’t be disappointed! Read More
