I can’t believe that we are already more than halfway through April. Time is seriously flying. I took the quickest trip to Nashville ever last weekend (I was there for less than 48 hours) to celebrate my childhood best friend’s bachelorette party. It was one of the best trips with some of my favorite people and I wish I could have been there longer. We stayed out till 3am, barely slept, ate some great food, and got to explore a new city. Not much more you could ask for (except maybe some more sleep).
Everyone left for Nashville on Thursday afternoon/evening, but since I just started a new job at the end of January, I couldn’t get any time off so I left Friday night. My flight was supposed to leave at 7:10 , but got delayed three times and we finally left at 9:20. I landed in Nashville at around 10:40 (11:40 EST, since Nashville is an hour behind) and got a cab to the house, changed in about 20 minutes, and made it out to the bars downtown by 12:30.
Saturday we woke up bright and early to tour Grand Ole Opry, visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, and explore Nashville. It was extremely tiring but so much fun. I’m pretty sure I belong on stage after our awesome tour of Grand Ole Opry (just kidding, I’m a terrible singer).
Our flight left Nashville around 5:30 on Sunday evening, so we went out to breakfast and took pictures outside the Belmont Mansion before we headed to the airport. It truly was a whirlwind weekend, and I wish I had more time. The next big event… the wedding!
