Happy Humpday, everyone! I wanted to share a quick, funny story behind these photos before I talk about the outfit. My college BFF Emily came up to visit for a few hours two Saturday’s ago and we went over to Allaire State Park to check it out as that is the location my photographer suggested for our wedding photos. I had never been there but it’s this cute little historic town with beautiful brick buildings that has since been made into a state park. There were tons of people walking around and many photo shoots were happening so needless to say, that’s going to be the spot for our wedding photos! I also brought my camera along to take pictures of the places I really liked and so Emily could take some pictures of my outfit. When I went to go to take a picture of the most beautiful row of trees, my camera wasn’t working and I realized I didn’t have a memory card in it #bloggerfail. I loved my outfit so much that we decided to work with what we had and took all of these with my iPhone, and I think they turned out pretty well!
Now on to the outfit. Everything except the jeans and the sunglasses are from Old Navy. I had bought the quilted vest and button down in September, and the blanket scarf and ankle boots a few weeks ago with the Old Navy Super Cash that I had.
Let’s talk about these ankle boots. I looooove these! They are so cute and actually really comfortable! The inside was very cushion-y and supported my arches well. When I ordered them, I thought that they were just plain black boots, but when they came in, I discovered that the back has a subtle snakeskin-like design which I love! I will say that they were a tad tight around my ankles, but it didn’t bother me too much, and I’m sure once I break them in more it will be fine!
As for the button down, I wanted to talk about size real quick. I have a ton of button downs from Old Navy that I bought last year, and they are all a size medium. This year, when I went to try on this shirt, the medium was super tight and small, so I sized up to the large which fit perfectly. I found that weird since Old Navy sizes normally run big, and I didn’t have to size up any other shirts that I purchased that day – so just a warning to maybe size up with this one.
