I absolutely love this dress! It was the last thing I tried on after searching for hours for the perfect dress to wear for my engagement photos. I wasn’t too sure about it when I tried it on but I was running out of time (and options), so I bought it. I ended up really loving the way this dress looked in my engagement photos (I’ll be sharing them soon). It was perfect for a fall beach look! I also wore this dress to my friend’s baby shower and got sooo many compliments on it. I paired it with the perfect wine-colored heels (they are LC Lauren Conrad last year, here is an almost identical pair), and it was perfect for a day-time event (see the look on my instagram!). Happy Humpday, everyone! I wanted to share a quick, funny story behind these photos before I talk about the outfit. My college BFF Emily came up to visit for a few hours two Saturday’s ago and we went over to Allaire State Park to check it out as that is the location my photographer suggested for our wedding photos. I had never been there but it’s this cute little historic town with beautiful brick buildings that has since been made into a state park. There were tons of people walking around and many photo shoots were happening so needless to say, that’s going to be the spot for our wedding photos! I also brought my camera along to take pictures of the places I really liked and so Emily could take some pictures of my outfit. When I went to go to take a picture of the most beautiful row of trees, my camera wasn’t working and I realized I didn’t have a memory card in it #bloggerfail. I loved my outfit so much that we decided to work with what we had and took all of these with my iPhone, and I think they turned out pretty well! Read More
Summer will always be my favorite season, but fall comes in at a very close second. Part of the reason why is the clothes. Cozy knits, chunky sweaters, comfy leggings – it doesn’t get any better than fall fashion. Of course, I’ve yet to transition my wardrobe from summer to fall (because it’s been in the high 80’s most of September), but I’ve started to do some fall shopping in anticipation for the cooler weather that’s to come. A lot of fall clothing is timeless and is always in style year after year, so I thought I would do a post on my fall wardrobe staples. I don’t think anything on this list is groundbreaking, but I’ve added a few trendier pieces to my closet (like this suede moto jacket) that I can’t wait to wear when the weather cools down.
September is here and I’m ready for fall. This summer was so crazy busy and I’m hoping to slow down a bit this month. This is the last summer look I’ll be posting since fall is almost here! I haven’t even thought about shopping for fall clothes yet since I still feel like I’m in May, but I plan on unpacking my fall/winter clothes to see what I have before I go on a shopping spree. I wore this outfit recently when we had a BBQ for my sister’s birthday, which was July 24th, not July 4th, which would have been more appropriate. I actually bought this shirt and shorts from the Gap Factory outlet right after Fourth of July. These shorts were on sale for $6.99. Yes, you read that right. $6.99! I bought them in red, one light denim, and one dark denim. They were originally $44.99 – such a steal! Read More
